The First Minister has announced that Scotland will face even tighter restrictions as cases of the virus remains high.

From Saturday, it will be illegal to drink alcohol outside, and rules around click and collect are stricter, with only essential items allowed to remain open.

The vaccination programme could start running 24/7 from February onwards as mass vaccination sites prepare to open.

As of the end of Tuesday, 191,965 Scots had been given a first dose of the vaccine.
