NHS staff to receive COVID-19 vaccination at Forth Valley Royal Hospital tomorrow

At the end of last month The Falkirk Herald reported moves were afoot to create a facility within FVRH where staff and patients could be inoculated against COVID-19 when the vaccine becomes available.
Now the vaccine is available – reportedly delivered to the hospital under police escort – staff have been given appointments to receive the inoculation from tomorrow morning.

Hide Adit is believed the hospital’s education centre has now been closed off until the end of January so the COVID-19 vaccinations can take place there.
Last month NHS Forth Valley stated it was exploring various options to deliver the vaccine.
At the time an NHS Forth Valley spokesperson said: “Our plans for the COVID-19 vaccine are still being finalised in line with Scottish Government guidance and we are exploring a number of options for how this will be delivered to the initial priority groups.”
