More positive Covid-19 cases recorded in Forth Valley

It follows three days when there was no increase.
However, overnight a further five people tested positive for Covid-19 taking the total number of cases since monitoring began to 924.
There are currently ten patients being treated in Forth Valley hospitals.

Hide AdLess than five of these are in Forth Valley Royal Hospital’s intensive care unit – the Scottish Government does not release the figure if it is below five.
A total of 112,984 people in Scotland have been tested through NHS labs to date. Of these, 97,602 were confirmed negative and 15,382 were positive.
However, the government has said this will be an underestimate of the number of cases. Not everyone with the virus will display symptoms and not all those with symptoms will be tested.
Yesterday there were 3299 tests carried out by NHS Scotland in hospitals, care homes or the community, making a total of 167,061 COVID-19 tests through NHS labs to date.
In addition, there were 1026 drive through and mobile tests carried out by the Regional Testing Centres in Scotland bringing the total to 58,375 tests to date.
