More people testing positive for Covid-19 in Forth Valley

Latest figures released by the Scottish Government this afternoon show 662 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Forth Valley.

This is an increase of seven in the last 24 hours and over 200 more in the past week.

The number of people being treated in hospital is currently 84 with five of these in intensive care.

NHS Forth Valley is now carrying out testing of key workers at three sites in the grounds of Falkirk Community Hospital, Bowhouse Community Centre in Grangemuth and Stirling Health and Care Village.

A total of 49,157 people in Scotland have been tested. Of these, 38,833 were confirmed negative and 10,324 were positive.

Of those who tested positive, 1249 patients have died – 90 in Forth Valley.
