More Covid-19 patients needing hospital treatment in Forth Valley

The number of patients being treated in Forth Valley hospitals for coronavirus has again risen.

Latest figures issued by the Scottish Government this afternoon show there were 95 inpatients with Covid-19, a rise of seven overnight and an increase of 17 in the last 48 hours.

Five of these patients are being treated in intensive care.

The number of people in Forth Valley who have tested positive now stands at 757, an increase of ten in the last 24 hours.

Figures released on Wednesday revealed that 124 deaths in Forth Valley were related to Covid-19.

A total of 58,833 people in Scotland have now been tested. Of these, 46,906 were confirmed negative and 11,927 were positive.
