More Covid-19 cases in Forth Valley

Latest figures released by the Scottish Government this afternoon reveal the number of people in the region who have tested positive since monitoring began now stands at 946.
This is an increase of two overnight and 124 rise in the past month.

Hide AdThere are currently 13 people being treated in Forth Valley hospitals, one fewer than yesterday.
Of these, less than five are in Forth Valley Royal Hospital’s intensive care unit.
A total of 122,762 people in Scotland have been tested through NHS labs to date. Of these, 107,180 were confirmed negative and 15,582 were positive.
However, the government has said this will be an underestimate of the number of cases. Not everyone with the virus will display symptoms and not all those with symptoms will be tested.

Hide AdYesterday, 4180 tests carried out by NHS Scotland in hospitals, care homes or the community, making a total of 186,835 COVID-19 tests through NHS labs to date.
in addition, there were 1346 drive through and mobile tests carried out by the Regional Testing Centres in Scotland bringing the total to 64,484 tests to date.
