Latest update on Covid-19 cases in Forth Valley

The number of people in Forth Valley hospitals being treated for coronavirus remains at 19.

Latest figures released this afternoon by the Scottish Government reveals there had been no change in the number of inpatients overnight.

Of the 19, currently less than five are being treated in Forth Valley Royal Hospital’s intensive care unit – the government does not reveal the figure if it is below five.

The number of people in Forth Valley who have tested positive now stands at 873, an increase of two in the last 24 hours and a rise of 45 in the past week.

A total of 87,660 people in Scotland have been tested through NHS labs to date. Of these, 73,123 were confirmed negative and 14,537 were positive.
