Latest positive coronavirus cases in Forth Valley

The latest figures released by the Scottish Government show that the number of patients in Forth Valley testing positive for coronavirus has almost doubled in three days.

There are now 75 positive cases in the region.

That’s almost double Monday’s total of 40, which climbed to 59 on Tuesday.The latest figures, released at 2pm today (Thursday) show that a total of 11,487 Scottish tests have concluded.Of these 10,593 tests were confirmed negative and 894 tests were positive - although the actual number of cases is likely to be in the tens of thousands.In Scotland, so far 25 patients who tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) have died.Greater Glasgow and Clyde health authority remains by far the highest in Scotland with 258 confirmed cases.

The first coronavirus case in Scotland was detected on March 1 by NHS Tayside and the number of patients testing positive for Covid-19 has risen steadily since then.
