Latest Covid-19 figures for Forth Valley

The number of people testing positive for coronavirus in Forth Valley has reached 794.

This is an increase of six since yesterday and a rise of 114 in the past week.

There are currently 70 people being treated in Forth Valley hospitals for Covid-19 or suspected of having the virus, a rise of four in 24 hours.

The number of these being cared for the Forth Valley Royals Hospital’s intensive care unit is six.

There have been 124 deaths linked to coronavirus in Forth Valley, 70 of these in the Falkirk Council area.

A total of 36 died in hospital, 25 in the district’s care homes and nine in their own home.

Latest figures from the Scottish Government reveal 61,696 Scots have been tested. Of these, 49,430 were confirmed negative and 12,266 were positive (24.8 per cent).
