Jet2 has suspended all of its flights and holidays until late March due to the ongoing uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Under current restrictions, international travel, as well as in the UK, is not allowed unless you have a legally permitted reason to leave home.
Cancelled until late March
The travel firm has cancelled all flights and holidays until 25 March as a result of the travel restrictions currently in place across the UK.
Jet2 had previously cancelled its flights to mainland Spain and the Balearics until 11 February, but this date has now been pushed back further for all destinations.
People living in the UK are banned from leisure travel under the latest Covid-19 restrictions, and travellers arriving in England and Scotland will now need to test negative for coronavirus from Friday (15 February) three days before departure.
If you do not comply - and don’t have a valid exemption - airlines could refuse you boarding and you may be fined on arrival.
In a statement, Jet2 said: “Due to the ongoing uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and government travel restrictions, we’ve decided to extend the suspension of all flights up to and including 25 March 2021. Please note, our flights to Iceland are suspended up to and including 26 April 2021.
“If you’ve been affected by these programme changes, we’ll be automatically cancelling your booking with a full refund. Please be patient with us as we do this.
“If you're due to travel from 26 March 2021 onwards, we'll provide an update closer to the time.”
What to do if you’ve booked
Customers who have been affected by the cancellations will automatically be issued with a refund, Jet2 has said.
If you would like to cancel your flight, you can do so via the Manage My Booking page online. However, all scheduled flights are non-refundable.
If the flight is cancelled by the airline and Jet2 cannot offer a suitable alternative, customers will be given a full refund.
Customers who booked flights through an online travel agent, such as On the Beach or loveholidays, will need to contact the agent directly.
