Inside a Covid-19 ward at Forth Valley Royal hospital

It is only two months since the first coronavirus case was confirmed in Scotland on March 1.

But in the weeks since then life has changed dramatically and sadly, some people have lost their lives – 124 in Forth Valley.

However, hundreds more have been saved by the dedication of the NHS staff who have nursed them back to health.

This week Falkirk Herald chief photographer Michael Gillen was given access to one of the Larbert hospital’s Covid-19 wards to capture the care being given to patients.
