Figures issued on Wednesday revealed an increase of seven to 809 in Forth Valley.

The number of people being treated in hospitals has also decreased with the latest figure revealing only 27 inpatients and less than five of those being treated in intensive care.

This is a fall of three overnight and in the last 48 hours 43 people have been discharged.

NHS Forth Valley has said it can carry out around 200 tests daily at its centres in the grounds of Falkirk Community Hospital, Bowhouse Community Centre in Grangemouth and Stirling Health and Care Centre.

It is also able to analyse the results in the laboratories at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert rather than sending them to Glasgow giving a quicker turnaround in results.
