Forty confirmed coronavirus cases in Forth Valley

The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Forth Valley has reached 40.

The latest figures from the Scottish Government show the confirmed cases have risen by ten, from 30 to 40 since yesterday.

This increase comes as the number of people with Covid-19 in Scotland who have died rises to 14.

Across Scotland there are now 499 confirmed cases of the virus, with 9364 having been tested.

The latest figures have been revealed for Forth Valley

The updated daily figures come as First Minister Nicola Sturgeon stressed that following health advice was “not optional”.

And she has called on shops which do not provide essentials such as food or medicine to close.
