Forth Valley Royal Hospital prepares facilities for COVID-19 vaccinations

There are reports the hospital’s education centre has now been closed off from next week until the end of January. It is believed this facility could be used as location for the COVID-19 vaccinations to take place.
NHS Forth Valley stated it was currently exploring options.
There are also reports that “patient facing” staff are now being tested twice a week for COVID-19.

Hide AdAn NHS Forth Valley spokesperson said: “Our plans for the COVID-19 vaccine are still being finalised in line with Scottish Government guidance and we are exploring a number of options for how this will be delivered to the initial priority groups when the vaccine becomes available.”
It is widely anticipated the roll out of a COVID-19 vaccination programme could begin by mid-December with approval of two vaccines pending this week to allow plans to become official.
