Falkirk Council latest as Camelon cemetery office closes to public

Falkirk Council has stopped visitors to Camelon cemetery office as part of its response to the coronavirus crisis.

They have announced that the office at Camelon cemetery is operational but as a precaution they are restricting public visits for the immediate future.

Any application forms for the  Book of Remembrance or Lair Transfers can be posted – the address is on the forms.

Similar arrangements will apply to funeral directors and stonemasons; paperwork can be posted through the office door or emailed to [email protected]

This announcement follows closely on the news that Falkirk Council has suspended all council committee meetings until at least early May.

Meetings such as the planning committee and licensing board are being put on hold with immediate effect.

A council spokesperson confirmed that at the moment most services are running normally but this could change very quickly.

Some council staff will be working from home and all staff are being urged to follow NHS advice closely.
