Eight positive coronavirus cases recorded in Forth Valley in the last week

Eight new positive cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in Forth Valley in the last seven days – with three of them confirmed on Monday.

According to the latest daily figures published by the Scottish Government, there have now been 1117 confirmed positive cases of coronavirus in the health board region since the outbreak began.

Monday’s figures showed an increase of three on Sunday’s figures, while there had been an increase of one on both Saturday and Sunday.

There had also been an increase of one on Wednesday and two on Thursday last week.

Across Scotland on Monday there were 66 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 recorded according to the figures, and there were no deaths with a positive test.

A total of 476,794 people in Scotland have been tested for the virus, and of these 456,917 were confirmed negative and 19,877 were positive.
