Covid-19 latest for Forth Valley

The latest figures released this afternoon by the Scottish Government show that there have been 917 people who have tested positive.
However, the number of people being treated in the region’s hospitals is now 16, a rise of two overnight.

Hide AdLess than five of these are being treated in Forth Valley Royal Hospital’s intensive care unit. The government does not release the actual figure if it is below five.
A total of 103,508 people in Scotland have been tested through NHS labs to date. Of these, 88,352 were confirmed negative and 15,156 were positive.
However, the government has said this will be an underestimate of the number of cases. Not everyone with the virus will display symptoms and not all those with symptoms will be tested.
Yesterday, 3401 tests carried out by NHS Scotland in hospitals, care homes or the community, making a total of 149,225 COVID-19 tests through NHS labs to date.

Hide AdIn addition, there were 1341 drive through and mobile tests carried out by the Regional Testing Centres in Scotland bringing the total to 51,811 tests to date.
