A total of 1972 cases have been detected in Forth Valley since the start of the outbreak, up from 1918 yesterday, meaning 58 new cases in a day – the same number has been reached once so far April 19.

The number of people in hospital in the area who have tested positive is 29, up from 24 yesterday.

A total of 862,993 people in Scotland have been tested. Of these people, 41,256 were positive
