Coronavirus in Forth Valley: Cases continue to rise

The number of new coronavirus cases in the Falkirk and Forth Valley area shows no sign of slowing down, according to new figures.

Today’s stats show that 45 new cases were detected in Forth Valley.

A total of 2650 cases have now been detected in Forth Valley since the start of the outbreak, up from 2605 yesterday.

The number of people in hospital in the area who have tested positive is 45, up from 40 yesterday.

11 of those people are currently in intensive care, unchanged from yesterday.

A total of 974,646 people in Scotland have been tested at least once. Of these people, 61,531 have tested positive.
