Coronavirus in Forth Valley: concern as cases continue to rise
A total of 2029 cases have been detected in Forth Valley since the start of the outbreak, up from 1972 yesterday, meaning 53 new cases in a day.
That is down slightly on the 58 new cases recorded in the previous 24 hours - a record daily high for the area - but is another worrying indication that the virus is spreading in the region.

Hide AdThe number of people in the area who have died as a result of Covid-19 has risen by one, with 135 people now having lost their lives to the virus.
Across Scotland the death toll rose by 13, bringing the total number of fatalities in Scotland to 2,585.
So far, 44, 036 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the country since the pandemic hit in March.
