Coronavirus: Forth Valley case numbers continue to increase

The number of positive cases of Covid-19 in the Forth Valley area are continuing to rise.

An increase of 26 confirmed cases in the last 24 hours has brought the latest Scottish Government figures for the health board area to 172.

The news comes as figures show there are now 2602 cases across Scotland from a total of 18,128 people who have been tested.

Sadly 126 patients who tested positive for Covid-19 have now died – an increase of 50 from yesterday.

Although First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has said that 40 of those deaths took place over a number of days, but had been delayed in reporting, due to family liaison issues.
