Coronavirus cases continue to rise in Forth Valley

Latest Scottish Government statistics reveal there have been 280 people who have tested positive in the area – an increase of 21 since yesterday.

The number of people currently being treated in hospital is 107, one more than yesterday, however, the number in intensive care has dropped by two to seven.

Figures revealed yesterday showed 27 people have so far died and coronavirus has been given as a cause of death.

Across Scotland 27,518 people have been tested. Of these: 22,561 tests were confirmed negative and 4957 were positive.

Of the positive cases, sadly 447 patients have died.
