Coronavirus cases rise to 121 in Scotland

The Scottish Government has today reported a sharp increase to 121 confirmed Coronavirus cases in Scotland, a rise of 36 since yesterday.

The highest number of confirmed cases are in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, with 31 cases, followed by Lothian with 25, 11 each in Shetland and Tayside and 10 in Lanarkshire.

A total of 3,715 people have been tested north of the border.

Forth Valley’s total remains at six cases.

An elderly Lothian NHS patient yesterday became the first person in Scotland to die from the virus.
