A&E figures are improving

Waiting times at Forth Valley Royal Hospital's accident and emergency department are continuing to improve.

Figures for the week ending January 21 show that 79.1 per cent of patients attending the department were seen within four hours.

Forty-five waited over four hours and just ten patients had to wait longer than 12 hours.

Although showing an increase on previous weeks, the number is still below the Scottish Government’s target of 95 per cent.
