Bitesize Scotland programmes and old episodes of ‘Authors Live’ which consists of children’s and young adult’s authors speaking about their novels, will be broadcast on the Scottish channel.

People can catch-up with any missed programmes via the BBC’s new webpage ‘Lockdown Learning in Scotland.' and access other educational resources via ‘Learn at BBC Scotland.’

There will also be ‘Stories in Scots’ available via the BBC Scotland website and via BBC Sounds which include Greek myths spoken in Scots dialect and a re-telling of Robert Burns’ infamous Tam O'Shanter for modern young Scots.

The news comes as homeschooling begins again for most pupils across Scotland this morning as the tighter lockdown measures prevent many children from returning to classrooms. The children of key workers will still be able to attend schools and nurseries throughout the new lockdown.
