Grangemouth High School Awards: Sarah and star pupils take a well deserved bow

Featuring two amazing vocal performances from outgoing school stars Ryan Watson and Emily Reid and an inspirational speech from Falkirk FC chief executive – and former Grangemouth High School pupil – Jamie Swinney, the evening was a celebration of achievement and the hard work it took to attain it.

Top of the class was this year’s Dux for 2025/26 Sarah Lochrie, but she was just one of the outstanding young people taking a bow on Wednesday night.

Head teacher Brian Millar said: “At Grangemouth High School, learning is at the heart of everything we do. That simple commitment is not just a slogan on a wall; it is the living, breathing foundation of our entire community, guiding every lesson, every conversation, and every achievement we celebrate tonight.

"Our shared vision rests upon three vital pillars – encouraging ambition, building confidence, and broadening horizons. To our pupils, tonight belongs to you. Encouraging ambition means setting high expectations and supporting every single one of you to reach your full potential.

"Look at what your ambition has achieved this year. To every pupil here tonight, keep aiming high, keep believing in yourselves and keep exploring new horizons. Congratulations to you all and enjoy this wonderful evening of celebration.”
