Everything from weddings to gala days, festivals to school proms have been vetoed for 2020.

Of course, postponing your nuptials or having to wait another year before your children can enjoy so many planned activities is nothing compared to the loss of lives from Covid-19.

However, it has affected much of our usual calendar of events and one of the things that The Falkirk Herald would be preparing to run in the coming weeks is our annual supplement of P7 photographs as the primary school senior pupils prepare to make the move to secondaries across the district.

Of course, this year with the schools closed since March 20 we’ve been unable to capture those special class group shots of your children and their friends.

But we’ve come up with a novel way of marking their move.

We’re printing all the class photographs from the time they started at primary school.

The first 11 classes are featured this week and the rest will be published in coming editions – so don’t forget to pick up your copy every Thursday.

And in case you didn’t buy or want more copies of the photographs from seven years ago they are still available to buy at https://johnstonfalkirk.newsprints.co.uk/.

We will also be running online galleries of pics ... so watch out for those too.
