It follows college staff who were taking part in industrial action short of striking (ASOS) beginning to mark the outstanding work to allow students’ final qualifications to be certified by the Scottish Qualification Authority. It comes as the EIS-FELA’s (Further Education Lecturers’ Association mandate for this action ended on October 13.
EIS-FELA had been taking the industrial action, including a resulting boycott, due to an ongoing national pay dispute since early May 2023. A small number of lecturers at FVC were participating in this.

I would now like to thank those colleagues involved who have complied with this request, allowing students to have their results entered. I would also like to thank the students affected by this situation for their understanding and patience.
