Falkirk council’s latest information on schools

Only the children of Category 1 key workers will be allocated places for childcare in schools.

Falkirk Council made the announcement tonight and said it follows new advice from the Scottish Government to keep numbers attending schools at a minimum.

People in category one are:

Health and care workers directly supporting COVID response and associated staff

Schools out for most Falkirk pupils | JPIMedia

Life threatening emergency services work

Critical primary/community care provision

Energy suppliers

Childcare/learning for Category 1 staff (Teacher, ELC Staff, SfLAs/ELC Assistants).

But the council continues to stress that only people who have exhausted all other options for childcare should apply, to keep numbers at a minimum.
