And whilst there was a brief pause in course delivery at the height of the pandemic, Forth Valley College is now back and accepting bookings for their full range of nationally recognised courses in electrical safety.

Not only do they offer courses from City and Guilds, they are also the only approved licensed CompEx Centre in Central Scotland.

Training is based at their fantastic new £78million campus in Falkirk, which offers excellent transport links and state-of-the-art workshops and training facilities.

Importantly, the College has also had a dedicated team which has put measures in place to ensure a COVID safe learning environment to protect the wellbeing of all our students and staff.

Employers will be pleased to know that they may be able to access funding from the Flexible Workforce Development Fund in regards to training costs and the College will soon be offering a purchase order online facility via their website.

Training is suitable for those already working in the industry and may also be of interest to those looking to re-train if their current role has been impacted by COVID-19.

Zak Stark, Commercial Training Manager at Forth Valley College, said: “We’re delighted to be back open for business and welcoming students once again. We were only just in our brand new facility before lockdown happened so it’s great to be back. We think our students will be really impressed with what we have to offer and will also feel reassured by all the measures we’ve put in place to ensure their safety and wellbeing.

“Hazardous area and electrical safety training is essential, and is still required by statutory legislation, even when we are faced with other challenging events. Having the correct qualifications is so crucial to competency, safe working practices and an awareness of risks and hazards.

“Of course, we realise that there may be questions around our delivery in light of the current circumstances and we would encourage individuals and employers to get in touch. We are more than happy to help and chat through the measures we have in place for your safety.”
