Work progresses on new McDonald's restaurant in Camelon

Work is well underway on a new McDonald’s outlet in Camelon.

The fast-food restaurant was given the green light by councillors after studying a planning application to build on land to the north of Tesco petrol station in Glasgow Road in December 2019.

A construction team began preparatory work on site last November.

Since then, the site has been a hive of activity.

The main restaurant has started to take shape, and is well on the road to completion - its large glass frontage can clearly been seen while work continues to apply the finishing touches to the exterior.

Attention will then turn to landscaping and creating a car parking area.

The development will include a drive-thru, and also feature an outside patio area and outdoor play area for children.

It will join other McDonald’s facilities across the Forth Valley region.

The long-established company’s outlets include premises in Falkirk’s Central Retail Park.
