Update of Falkirk's Howgate centre opening hours

Only four businesses are currently open in the Howgate shopping centre.

The centre’s temporary trading hours due to the coronavirus pandemic are 10am to 3pm Monday to Saturday. The centre is closed on Sundays.

The only stores currently trading are:

*Post Office with last admission at 2.30pm

*Sutherland Fruit and Veg stall.

*Wilko – access from the High Street

*Boots – access from the High Street.

However, doors may be locked earlier if the Post Office or veg stall are already closed.

The centre’s car park remains closed and there is no entrance from the Pleasance, only the High Street.

A spokesperson for the centre said: “Please observe social distancing guidelines and use the markers on the floor in queuing areas. Please only visit for essential items or services.

“We have a small number of staff on site to keep the centre as clean, safe and secure as possible. The best advice is to stay home and stay safe.”
