Unemployment halved in Falkirk
According to recent figures from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) the number of people claiming unemployment benefit in the Falkirk area has fallen by almost half since this time five years ago.
The claimant count has gone down by 47 per cent locally since 2012, as across the UK the employment rate has reached a record high of 75.3 per cent.
