UK company triples business at its Falkirk depot

Flooring contractor, Designer Contracts, has acquired its neighbouring unit at Middlefield Industrial Estate.

It is the second major expansion since it first opened in 2011.

It doubled in size in 2016, and the latest move will see its original operation go 5,000 sq ft to 15,000 sq ft.

The company is the UK’s largest flooring contractor.

Peter Kelsey, managing director, said: “Our base in Scotland has enjoyed good year-on-year growth with a tripling of turnover.

“This has prompted the further investment, reinforcing our commitment to our many clients north of the border.

“The expanded depot is now even better placed to service customers with a greater stockholding – and, under Kenny Collins, our director in Scotland, we have also increased staff numbers to accommodate the additional business.”

Designer Contracts was named as a finalist in the 2020 Lloyds Bank Business Awards.
