Sweet dreams as Co-op line up new deal with Mrs Tilly's

A new deal with the Co-op could bring an extra £250,000 of sales for a Larbert sweet firm.

Mrs Tilly’s, manufacturers of traditional Scottish confectionery, will introduce a further four new tablet and fudge lines to the Scottish Co-op range from the middle of June.

The deal also sees the family firm move from direct store delivery to depot delivery.

Managing director Blair Paterson said: “We have worked with the Co-op throughout Scotland for many years now and they are an extremely valuable partner to our business. Their customers are very loyal to our brand and we are excited to be able to develop our offering further with additional flavours and formats.”

Co-op category buyer Jonathan Grey said: “We’re really pleased to be able to expand our range and distribution of Mrs Tilly’s products. We’re changing the game in terms of our Scottish confectionery range and Mrs Tilly’s are a key supplier for us in delivering this goal due to their superior product quality.

“The Co-op is at the heart of many Scottish communities and we know our customers will love the increased range of Mrs Tilly’s products.”

“The coming months will also see us launch of a number of new lines across the market including a range of Gluten Free All Butter Toffee as well as a range of Premium Gift Tins and as always quality is at the forefront of everything we do.”
