Alchemy Investments (Scotland) Ltd lodged the application with Falkirk Council on March 16 to construct a public house/restaurant incorporating external drinking/eating areas, sub-division/alteration of existing Class 5 (general industrial) building and associated access and parking at Billy Mills Body Shop, Castlelaurie Industrial Estate, Bankside, Falkirk.

Planning permission was granted on Friday, November 11.

A planning report stated: “This application proposes the construction of a two storey public house and restaurant on an existing yard and parking area adjacent to class 5 general industrial land.“The proposals include the use of repurposed storage containers for the main fabric of the building. The containers are proposed to be positioned around a central external courtyard area and designed to include a series of raised decking and external seating areas.“Access to the site is proposed to be taken from improved existing junctions onto Bankside.”
