This is not just any foodhall ... it's M&S

The opening of the new M&S Foodhall later this month marks a milestone link with Falkirk for the company.

The Central Retail Park outlet will welcome shoppers from 10am on Wednesday, September 21, and brings 60 new jobs to the area.

It comes just ahead of the retailer marking 80 years since the Falkirk High Street store opened in December 1936.

The new 9000 sq. ft foodhall will offer over 5000 food and drink products, an in-store baker, Coffee to Go and a food-ordering service.

It will complement the existing M&S Falkirk High Street store which has had many transformations for customers over the years, including extension in 1955 and 1969.

Ryan O’Donovan, store manager of the new M&S Foodhall, said: “We are very proud of M&S’ heritage in the town and the opening of the new store in the town demonstrates M&S’ continued commitment and investment to the local area.

“We are also delighted to have been able to recruit people from within the community and the whole team is looking forward to getting started.
