Designed by one of Scotland’s leading architectural practices, Michael Laird Architects, and built by BAM Construction the HQ just off Inchyra Road took just over a year to construct.

The first members of staff moved into the state-of-the-art offices this month.

Ineos CEO John McNally said: “The construction of our new office is just one part of a £450 million investment plan being delivered at Grangemouth that is bringing about a renaissance in petrochemical manufacturing.

“In building this new HQ we are signalling our ongoing commitment to creating a world class manufacturing site at Grangemouth.”

He added the office will now allow the company, for the first time in a number of years, to bring its teams together in a way that suits the new Grangemouth business operation.

He said: “It will significantly improve the way we work and improve productivity with an office that has been designed and built for today’s business needs.”

The new building includes meeting rooms and conference facilities located on the ground floor and three floors of open plan office space above.

The overall scheme includes enhanced employee facilities such as secure bike storage, gym facilities, changing rooms and showers.

Just one part of the firm’s redevelopment of its Grangemouth site to create a centre of excellence for chemical manufacturing.

Old plants and vacant buildings are being demolished, creating “brown field” plots that can be used to attract new investment and new businesses.

These businesses can then take advantage of the existing power, steam, logistics and other services provided by Ineos at the site.

Mr McNally said: “We will make parts of our site available to companies that will benefit from the services and infrastructure we have to offer here at Grangemouth. Our vision for the future creates a centre of excellence at Grangemouth and a virtuous circle of attracting new investment, creating new jobs and providing Scotland with the vital raw materials that it needs to support its manufacturing sector.

“We believe a long term secure future for chemical manufacture at Grangemouth will bring prosperity to our local communities.”
