Among them were hairdressers and barbers who are operating with strict safety measures in place to ensure the safety of customers and staff.

The demand for haircuts has seen the teams in local salons and barbers run off their feet and clients are delighted to be able to have their hair chopped and coloured after a long wait.

The Manor Street barber opened its doors at 7am on Wednesday offering haircuts on a first come, first served basis.
