Homes in Falkirk and Stenhousemuir left without power
Residents in the Falkirk and Stenhousemuir area spent the early evening without power as the skies began to darken.
According to Scottish Power the problem, which was reported just after 4pm, was caused by a fault in the overhead network.
A spokesperson said: “Our engineers are on site now. There are still customers without power in the area and we hope to have it restored within the next hour.”
