The hot food takeaway, currently at 123 La Porte Precinct, has applied for a change of use for 41 La Porte Precinct, formerly The Portonian Bakery and Tea Rooms.

The relocation is part Falkirk Council's plan to use the south end of the precinct for residential development.

A planning application states that the proposal is for the change of use to hot food takeaway, fish and chip shop and small seating/cafe area.

The work will involve a complete internal fit out and new shop fronts with roller shutters.

The plans also show that a door that was previously blocked up is to be reopened as access to the rear shop area.

Changes to ventilation will be also made to reduce any odours for residents in nearby flats.
