The future looks uncertain for Falkirk’s Dorothy Perkins store amid rumours it won’t reopen once lockdown restrictions are eased.

A notice on the women’s fashion retailer website states its shops, including the one in The Howgate shopping centre, remain “temporarily closed” during the coronavirus pandemic.

However, the Falkirk Herald has been told staff at the town’s Dorothy Perkins have been informed the store will stay shut and employees have been served with redundancy notices.

Dororthy Perkins has yet to respond to a request for comment.
