Free training for Falkirk's redundant tradespeople

The National Transition Training Fund (NTTF) is now available to help tradespeople aged 25 and over who have been made unemployed through redundancy.

Supported by the Scottish Funding Council and the Scottish Government the NTTF focuses on upskilling tradespeople and helping individuals move into roles with potential for future growth and job retention.

There are currently two courses at Forth Valley College which eligible people can apply to participate in.

18th Edition Electrical course is essential for all electricians working in the UK and training is highly recommended to ensure all installers have a thorough understanding of new regulations. The 18th Edition is also one of the most recognised qualifications by employers.

The IOSH Managing Safely course is aimed at anyone who wants to learn the basics of health and safety. The course provides training in assessing risks, controlling risks, understanding responsibilities, understanding hazards and investigating incidents.
