Falkirk workshops can provide the answers

The beginning of a new year is often the catalyst for making a new start, particularly when it comes to employment.

Many will decide that the start of 2016 is the time to venture into setting up their own business. While this may seem like a daunting prospect, there are plenty of people and organisations offering to help with the process.

Business Gateway Falkirk has a range of fully funded workshops and events designed to give a helping hand.

Whether you are a first-time entrepreneur or someone with experience of being your own boss, the workshops cover a range of topics that will guide people through the maze of tax, marketing, social media and book keeping etc.

Three start-up seminars take place in the next few weeks at the Falkirk Stadium and they’re free.

On Thursday, January 21 from 9.30am to 12.30pm there is a workshop about trading online, while the basics of tax and National Insurance will be explained on Monday, January 25 from 1.30-3pm. An awareness seminar to look at all that is required when you set up a business takes place on Monday, February 1 from 6-7.30pm.

Carron Smith of Business Gateway said: “The first few months of the year are traditionally a busy period for Business Gateway as people use their resolutions as a way to kick start their entrepreneurial dreams.”
