The move means extended opening hours at the weekend, with breakfast being served from 9am to noon on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The local Frankie and Benny’s reopened its doors for click and collect, delivery and dining in last month with safety measures in place following government guidance.

The restaurant chain is currently participating in the government backed Eat Out to Help Out discount scheme.

The initiative offers those sitting in to eat 50 per cent off their food and drink bill on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays during August.

It does not include alcoholic drinks and is not valid with all other offers.

Mark Chambers, chief executive of the Leisure division, said: “We are very pleased with the feedback we have received from returning guests so far and we will be monitoring feedback very closely to ensure we continue to deliver a great and safe experience.

“We are also thrilled to participate in the Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

"This is a much-needed boost for our sector, and we thank the Government for their support.”
