Falkirk restaurant hands over free meals to Forth Valley Royal Hospital staff

A Falkirk restaurant served up free meals to NHS staff to thank them for their ongoing efforts amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Despite Mexican Tex-Mex Bar and Grill being closed due to government guidance on social distancing, the Grahams Road eatery’s owner, Mohan Karki, was eager to show his appreciation for the frontline workers.

After learning one of his customers, Scott McGuigan, was a senior nurse via Facebook, Mohan handed over a number of freshly made burritos, chimichangas and tacos to doctors and nurses at Forth Valley Royal Hospital on Sunday.

Mohan — also known as Mike — is keen to continue supplying staff with free meals if possible and said: “I just wanted to support them because they’re working so hard.

“Even though we’re closed, if we can support the NHS in any kind of way we will try to.”
