The garden centre on Beancross Road, Polmont, has applied for permission to erect a timber framed building on a paved area outside the shop.

The planning application states that this will "provide a fruit and vegetable retail outlet to be accessed directly from the garden centre car park".

The company is hopeful they will get the go-ahead as the building will be on an area which is already hard standing and has been used previously as an outdoor retail area.

The garden centre is currently in the process of an extensive redevelopment.

They say when it is ready they will have a new larger outdoor plant area; new garden shop and gift department; a 300-seat restaurant and outdoor eating area, plus new concessions and attractions.
