Wheeliebox, a catering trailer and demountable kiosk manufacturer based in Bog Road Industrial Estate, designs bespoke and limited edition catering units and its latest effort is one the company feels is a winner in any era.

The firm recently delivered a US-style diner to Glasgow high school Holyrood, designed to keep pupils in the school grounds at lunchtime and eat healthier from the kiosk rather than at fast food outlets in high streets.

The American Diner is the biggest project undertaken by the company and was designed and built by owner Jonathan Peck, a former North Sea underwater engineer, with help from stepson Steven Bryson at the Falkirk site over a six-month period.

Jonathan said: “We are very proud to be involved in what is a UK manufacturing first. The project has been a real labour of love as we were determined to get the materials, craftsmanship and look of the finished product just right. Our kiosks can also be found at high-profile venues such as Gleneagles and some National Trust sites. While we have been successful, I’m constantly looking to develop new ideas and the American Diner and our new Coffee Barrel kiosks are the latest Wheeliebox products to hit the market.”

The firm also won the Best Catering Design category at the 2015 UK Corporate Excellence Awards.
