The fayre will give students, school leavers, jobseekers and those looking for a change of career a chance to explore some of the education, training, apprenticeship and employment opportunities on offer in the local area and beyond.

Among the confirmed exhibitors are Forth Valley College, Forth Ports, INEOS, Malcolm Allan butchers, Police Scotland, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, the Department for Work and Pensions, Skills Development Scotland, Tesco and SCVO, the umbrella body for voluntary organisations in Scotland.

Mr Matheson, MSP for Falkirk West, said: “We believe events like this can make a real difference to the employment prospects of people right across Falkirk district.”

Mr Macdonald, MSP for Falkirk East, added: “As well as providing valuable advice, the fayre will give organisations and businesses the chance to network and build links with other organisations.”

The fayre runs from 10am to 4pm in the main hall of the college’s Falkirk campus.
