With a lot of local businesses looking forward to opening their doors on April 26, it helps to have the local improvement district to assist with restrictions. Falkirk Delivers has been supplying Falkirk and the District Towns’ businesses with essential items such as hand sanitiser and social distancing floor markers as part of their package of support.

Last year, the local business improvement district played a huge part in getting Falkirk and the district towns ready to welcome back the public in a safe and inviting way. This included the shop local campaign, which included print marketing, TV ads and social media campaigns surrounding Falkirk and the District Towns. This year, the team are looking to go even further with their endeavours.

Falkirk Delivers has recently recruited for two new Assistant BID Managers, Sam and Stefanie, who will be a point of contact for all businesses in the District Towns: Bo’ness, Denny, Grangemouth and Stenhousemuir. These are brand new roles for the Falkirk BID. They will be on hand to assist local businesses with anything they need, including assistance with:

Grants and funding Environmental improvement Helping businesses develop a strong digital presence

The team have already been completing weekly walk-arounds and check-ups on the town centre, making sure they are fit for the public to return. Handyman Alan has been seen completing environmental improvements around the town centres, including graffiti removal, clearing refuse and weeding. The team is looking to further develop its work with the district towns, including placing a point of contact in each town and creating a community within those towns via a business group.

Elaine Grant, BID Manager for Falkirk and the District Towns, said: “We’re fully committed to bringing customers into Falkirk and the District Towns. Since we’ve secured additional team members we’ve been keen to identify ways in which we can help improve the district towns. We aim to have all town centres clean, welcoming and safe before businesses open their doors.”
